  Clayton Developments Limited is a subsidiary of the Shaw Group Limited - a proud company that traces its roots to a time before confederation. As early as the 1930’s, the Shaw Group began building quality homes in the Halifax area and by 1959, under the name Clayton Developments, a major parcel of land was purchased that proved very timely. With a strong demand for quality housing during this period of rapid growth, the area that is now known as Clayton Park was developed. In doing so, Clayton Developments quickly established themselves as the premier community builder in Atlantic Canada. Now in operation for over 45 years, Clayton has been committed to quality in design and execution from day one. While the core business has always remained the development of mixed density master planned communities, Clayton has also developed award winning condominium projects, apartment buildings, shopping centres and office buildings throughout Atlantic Canada. The Ravines of Bedford South is a 500 acre community which is now well established and will continue to grow providing housing for over 12,000 people in Bedford. Dartmouth’s 370 acre Portland Hills is 50% complete and has proven to be one of Dartmouth’s most sought after communities for the past five years.
