  Clayton Developments Limited is a subsidiary of the Shaw Group Limited - a company with roots from before confederation. As early as the 1930's the Shaw Group began building quality homes in the Halifax area . In 1959 Clayton Developments was formed. During this period of rapid growth Clayton Park was developed and Clayton quickly established itself as the premier community builder in Atlantic Canada. Now, more than 50 years later, Clayton remains the mark of quality in design and execution. Today, many of Halifax's most recognised communities have been built by Clayton, notably Clayton Park, Colby Village, Knightsridge, Sheffield, Ridgevale, Clayton Park West, Russell Lake West and Portland Hills. To date, the company has facilitated construction of over 20,000 residences providing housing for over 60,000 people. Currently we're building three master-planned communities in HRM. The Ravines of Bedford South, a 500 acre community that will provide housing for over 8,000 in Bedford—Russell Lake West, an exceptional community in Dartmouth that again demonstrates our commitment to quality while exceeding home owner expectations—and The Parks of West Bedford, our newest and largest community since Clayton Park, anticipating homes for up to 20,000 over the next 25 years. |
